Former music teacher Tom Timlin is a native of Lansing\, Michigan\, now residing in Spring Arbor\, Michigan near Jackson. He started singing with old 78 rpm records when he was only 4 years old and fell in love with music. He has been playing musical instruments since eight years old when he started on piano lessons. He later joined the junior high band program and learned to play the trumpet\, about the same he took up guitar.
