Magica Finestra is part of the 2009 - 2010 City of Jackson's public art exhibition sponsored by the City of Jackson, Arts and Cultural Alliance of Jackson County and the Ella Sharp Museum of Art and History.
Magica Finestra, which is Italian for "Magic Window", is a whimsical piece that Calvin created with children in mind. How a child might peek through one of the openings and perhaps imagine looking through to a fantasy world. Although, mainly he was having fun with the concept and also exploring some unexpected textures.
