This sculpture reflects the artist’s interest and appreciation of the figurative beauty of the horse. He finds the ancient Chinese ornamentation of the horse to be thought provoking and inspiring. This sculpture is his interpretation of the Fergana horse of the tang dynasty.
Chinese Horse is part of the 2009 - 2010 City of Jackson's public art exhibition sponsored by the City of Jackson, Arts and Cultural Alliance of Jackson County and the Ella Sharp Museum of Art and History.
