Center Stage Jackson - Open Auditions for Annie

Leapin’ Lizards! Center Stage Jackson – Jackson’s community theatre group - is holding OPEN AUDITIONS for one of the world’s best-loved musicals, “Annie.”

                                    6:30-8:00 Older teens and adults
LOCATION:             Grass Lake High School Auditorium, 11500 Warrior Trail, Grass Lake

Director Barb Palmer says that everyone should come prepared to read from the script and do a little moving. Please have a vocal selection prepared (please do not sing “Tomorrow”) if you are interested in a leading role. 8 measures are sufficient. Everyone will be asked to sing something (i.e. Happy Birthday). All children will need to dance and sing in the production. Call backs, Sep 10, 6:00 - 1st Congregational Church

Most rehearsals will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Some Fridays will be considered as well. We try to work around participants' schedules but expect everyone to be at all rehearsals the week the show opens. Please call Barb Palmer with questions. 782-1977, home, and 262-3471, cell.
 
Performance dates are November 6, 7, 8 and 13, 14 at Grass Lake High School Auditorium.
 
Synopsis:  "Annie" is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
