Gloomy might be the right word to describe the weather here today - it is a sharp contrast to that of Monday. This quick change tends to affect my mood - makes me question, wonder if that beautiful day did exist, did I imagine it? I long to pull the covers up tight to my chin and just wait for another sunny day to arrive to help me shake off this hollow feeling.
But I close my eyes and slowly drift back over the days recently past and I know. Not only do I clearly remember the sunshine of Monday but I remember that Saturday was gloomy too but yet thousands of Jackson residents got out to support the arts! Whether it was at the circus that was in town, the JDL Summer Reading Kick off event, ART634 Sale or the Art & Wine Festival.
Despite the pending rain, tough economic times we are in or how hollow you feel inside - the arts community in Jackson is creating an environment that makes us get up, shake off the cobwebs and smile.
How lucky are we all that we have amazing events like this every weekend right in our own backyard! Rain or shine - I'll look forward to seeing you out and about!!
