Art News 7/1/09

As a mother of a nine year old daughter my summer months are filled with summer play dates, pool parties, bike rides, and countless hours on the lake.  But no matter how busy we are I still hear the two phrases every parent dreads, "I am bored" or "there is nothing to do."

But there is one thing that has caught her attention thanks to a friend and that is the Be Creative @ Your Library Summer Reading Program.

The incentive sheets to read books that she would not normally read to the progress check off sheet...there are activities that are keeping her engaged and looking forward to going back to the library.

So on those summer days when there is "nothing to do" go to the library and see what adventures await!
